AFHS Boys Basketball Update 🏀
Both the C-Team and JV Boys battled hard but fell short against Sugar-Salem in tough, hard-fought contests. The teams showed grit and determination throughout the night, refusing to back down. Every possession was a fight, and the effort was evident from start to finish.

AFHS has a stand out agriculture program thanks to the leadership provided by the teachers of that program. This week, at the National Association of Agricultural Educators conference, two of our ag teachers were recognized with national awards for their outstanding work in agriculture education in American Falls and various levels at which they volunteer. Mr. Marc Beitia was honored as an Outstanding Service Award recipient. Mr. Bret Kindall was recognized as an Outstanding Early Career Teacher. Both were recognized as one of 6 recipients nationwide in their categories. Congratulations to them both!

Boys Basketball went to Kimberly tonight!! C-team had a rough loss. JV won 42-37 and Varsity took the win scoring 57-36!! They played a great game!!
Girls basketball took on Filer at home both teams flat hard, but came up short.
The Highlights performed their hip-hop routine at halftime of the girls basketball game.
BPA doing BPA things at their regional conference/competition at ISU.
Our team worked hard, brought the heat, and competed in events varying from Payroll Accounting, Admin Support, Prepared Speech, Computer Security and Programming, to Health Research Presentations 💻🗣️📚 results will follow!

🎿Tuesday (16th): Dress as a winter sports athlete—skiing, snowboarding, hockey, anything wintery! If not, come in a white out. Lunch activity: Snowball Fight (the fun, safe kind!).
🎄Wednesday (17th): Stay cozy in your Christmas PJ’s and enjoy Oscar’s P.A.W.S. lunch time activity! 🤝Stress-ball making
🎅🟢Thursday (18th): It’s Grinch vs. Santa, so pick your side! Lunch will include a Hot Cocoa Handout, and don’t forget—it’s also TALENT SHOW day! 🎤✨
The boys basketball team traveled to Aberdeen and dominated. JV 52-37 won and the varsity score was 65-27.

🎹 Mr. Hanchey’s Intro to Piano Class 🎶
It’s amazing to watch these students grow each week. From learning their very first notes to confidently playing short melodies, their progress has been incredible. The excitement on their faces when they master a new rhythm or recognize patterns on the keys is truly the best part.
The classroom is filled with curiosity, focus, and plenty of smiles. These students are discovering how music works, building confidence, and having a ton of fun along the way.
So proud of all their hard work — can’t wait to hear what they play next! 🎵✨
