
Hailey Giesbrecht was honored this weekend as an Idaho Youth Sports Commission GameChanger Coach! 🏅 The award was presented to her at the BSU vs. St. Mary’s Men’s Basketball game held at the Mountain America Center on Saturday, December 14th, in Idaho Falls.

Girls basketball had a great weekend. Two big wins. Beat Buhl 53-26 and beat Filer 55-46. Great job girls.






Beavers Edge Out Timberwolves in Thrilling Win
The American Falls Beavers varsity boys basketball team showcased grit and determination in a close, physical game against the Teton Timberwolves. Both teams fought hard, but the Beavers’ relentless defense and clutch plays in the final moments sealed the victory. 39-32. The Jv also won while the c team lost their game.








Graphics I class has been working hard on creating Media Day posters for the winter home games. Students use design principles learned in class to help with the design and concepts. They add in different athletes or team pictures to spotlight them and the games. They have been putting their skills to the test.

The Spirit of the Falls bands had another great Christmas extravaganza.

Tomorrow is the big day! Come out to one of the biggest Holiday concerts in South Eastern Idaho. By tickets for the Christmas raffle starting at 6:00pm and Concert starts at 6:30pm in the AFHS Performing Arts Center.


The small and mighty AF Actors bring home a third place trophy in the 4A Division!


Boys basketball travels to Aberdeen and all three teams get the win. Varsity 50-49.






Last week, at American Falls High School, we honored Native American Heritage Month with a powerful assembly showcasing rich cultural traditions. Students and staff were able to watch the Grand Entry and the stunning Male and Female Traditional Grass Dance performances, which celebrated resilience, history, and community. The boys basketball season is underway with loss to the Kimberly Bulldogs. The JV won and the C team lost at the buzzer.







AFHS's Business Professionals of America chapter attended their regional competition today at ISU. Our chapter helped lead the Torch Awards ceremony and had 3 students earn their regional Torch Award (a service award). 6 students placed in their events and will go on to compete at the state competition. They competed in accounting, video production, human resources, document processing, and presentation skills. More detailed results coming soon. We are proud of our BPA members! Job well done!
