We found out this morning that American Falls FFA has been named a "Model of Excellence" Chapter which means we are one of the top ten chapters in the nation!!!
Last year's officer team worked all year on filling out our National Chapter Award application, which we sent on to the national level in June. Each application sent in (from every chapter in the nation) is ranked on a 1-3 star level, with 3-star being the highest ranking. At that point they take all the 3-star chapters (usually around 600) and they are each scored at least three times by multiple sets of judges. Once they've all been scored multiple times, they identify the top ten chapters.
Fernando Montelongo, Cody Carlon, and Hannely Cardona will present virtually on September 26th to a panel of judges for a chance to move forward as one of the top 3 Model of Excellence chapters. If they are named top three, they will present at our National Convention this fall for a chance to win the whole thing and be named The #1 Chapter in the Nation!
Words can't express how proud we are of these students and how much they have dedicated to this chapter. This is basically the super bowl of competitions in FFA and one of the largest, if not THE largest, award to be earned in our organization. In fact, it is the only award that recognizes the entire membership of a chapter.
Thank you to ALL for supporting our program by encouraging these students, and cheering them on. This could not have been accomplished without the AFHS and American Falls communities.
