The American Falls School District holds a special place in my heart. I’m an American Falls native and was elated to have the opportunity to give back to the place that has done so much for me. As a new teacher I was provided with ample support from experienced mentors. With their guidance, I found my footing and love my job!

My wife and I both started teaching for the American Falls school district in the Fall of 2017. It didn't take very long for us to figure out that this was one of the best decisions we had made. The community, administrators, school board and fellow staff members  are incredible to work with and have been extremely supportive.

As the head of our Music Department for the district I love knowing and seeing the strong and broad support for the Music arts in our community from the Elementary School on up to the district office and across our community members. 

The support is truly allowing us to make a difference in the lives of our students through music. One could say "the Falls are alive with the sound of music!"

American Falls school district is a great place to teach and learn.  It is amazing to see what our students, teachers, staff, and community can  accomplish together.  I am grateful to work in this great district.  

I’ve taught in American Falls for nine years, and for three of those years I’ve taught Makerspace and STEM in two schools. I live and teach here because I can always focus on doing what is best for students. I always have access to the supplies and cutting-edge technology needed to deliver high-quality STEM and Maker education, and I receive unwavering support from administration to do this. I feel like I am part of a team that seeks to enrich students’ lives and experiences beyond the basics. These are just a few reasons I continue to call American Falls home!

The diversity in the American Falls school district has helped me grow as a teacher. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes an entire school community to help English language learners (ELLs) and students from low socio-economic backgrounds succeed. I've always appreciated the great support that teachers and administrators provide for our students.

The American Falls School District is special to me in so many ways, not only as a teacher for 18 years, but also as a former student. The many lives that I have inspired through my teaching, have made this profession very fulfilling. I am so grateful for the students and people I work with each day.
