The American Falls High School BPA Chapter had a successful Regional Competition at Idaho State University early in December with 7 of our 8 members qualifying for state and all members finishing as finalist. The students competed in different events where they had to demonstrate professional skills in administrative support, business management, human resources, and other soft skills like public speaking, leadership, and giving presentations. Many qualified for the state competition in both of their events and those who did not qualify were finalists. The AFHS BPA chapter has been inactive for a couple of years so it was amazing to experience this success in the first year back in activity. The students had a great showing of their skills and leadership.
In new news, the BPA club just finished competing at the state competition at the end of February in Boise at the Boise Centre Downtown. Their hard work paid off. Two students were finalists in their events and earned top 5 finishes where they were recognized on stage. Our freshman Administration Support Team also competed and participated in the Leadership Academy and soft skills workshops.
Congratulations to everyone that competed at Regionals and at State, we are very proud of our team!
