We have had a lot happening around our school with some amazing industry partners. On Monday, December 11th 8th grade students from Ms. Clark's Earth Science classes had some hands on experience with fossils found in our area of Idaho thanks to Robert Gay, the Museum of Natural History and Idaho State University.
Last night, our amazing Spirit of the Falls band once again staged a wonderful Christmas Extravaganza for the whole community! Great job, band members, and thank you to Mr. Hanchey, Mr. Leisher, and everyone else who helped plan this wonderful event.

Parents and guardians: We understand the weather is bad, however we are still asking that you do not use the parking lot or bus lane as a drop off. There is a drop off zone located on Pocatello Avenue and another one on Bannock Avenue. Violators will be ticketed. We have witnessed and had too many reports of unsafe driving in the parking lot and bus lane which puts our students and staff at risk.
Today we finally got the chance to celebrate our October students of the month. Thanks, Tres Hermanos, for donating a yummy lunch to these awesome students!

Yesterday was Mr. Gallegos's last day at WTMS. Mr. Legos, as the kids call him, served as a mentor to many young men in our school over the last few years. Thank you for everything, Mr. Gallegos, and good luck in your next chapter of life!

Yesterday, the SOTF band put on a great and spooky concert at AFHS. Next, our girls basketball teams battled hard again league foe Snake River. Finally, our wrestlers dominated at Marsh Valley. Congrats to all these students who are representing WTMS so well!
Parents of 8th grade students who are in Mr. Crompton's 3rd and 4th hour Career Exploration classes:
With guidance from Mr. Jaxon Jensen, we will be starting your student's high school 4-year plan on Monday, October 30th going through Thursday, November 2nd. Please make sure your student is able to attend school on the days that Mr. Jensen is available so that we can complete their 4-year plan and have it available to the administration at AFHS. This is required before students finish their 8th grade school year.

Big thanks to Mrs. Coleman and the WTMS Science department!! Every middle school student and staff member received a pair of eclipse glasses to safely view the annular eclipse tomorrow morning. Also thank you to the Idaho Space Grant Consortium for the glasses.

Our awesome 7th grade students got the chance today to start thinking about their future college and career pathways. Thanks to all the local businesses who volunteered their time for the 7th grade career fair, and thanks to Mrs. Held for organizing the entire event.

The Cross Country team was in action yesterday in Pocatello. 5 runners set personal records! Last race of the season will be next Wednesday.
Congratulations to the 8th grade football team on their 2nd undefeated season! We are so proud of each player and can't wait to see this team play in high school.

The annual "Halftime Extravaganza". The AF spirit team is made up of the award winning AFHS/WTMS Cheerleaders and the award winning SOTF Marching Band. The team is excited to bring their halftime show, "One Night Under the Big Top",
to the field, featuring music from "The Greatest Showman". Don't miss out on this great family fun event!
Our High School and Middle School Cross Country teams ran in Rexburg today. 2 personal records and 4 season bests for the high school and 16 personal records for middle school!
Order forms for school pictures were sent home in Wednesday folders today. Picture day will be next Thursday, September 21st.
