
Seniors at American Falls High School who had Ashley Matthews as their eighth grade English teacher were given letters they wrote to their future self. As eighth graders they included spare change, lunch cards, and other mementos to include in their envelope.



Track and Field competed today at ISU's Davis Field. We had some great marks even in the less than stellar weather.




Attention AFHS Parents and Students: All 9th and 10th grade students will be going on a college visit to CSI in Twin Falls on May 2nd. The buses will leave AFHS at 8am and will return by 3pm. Sack breakfast and lunch will be available for students from the lunchroom at the school to take with them on the trip.

Students in Mr. Doug Good's government classes gathered to discuss and debate a variety of issues to see which one they should lobby for. Based on their discussions, they selected an issue to continue researching for further debate. A few of the issues were: the COVID 19 response, national debt, federal educational mandates, and limitations on gun ownership.

Baseball loses a tight game to Malad last night 6 to 7. They play Marsh Valley starting at 4pm today in AF.

Softball wins huge in game one of their double header with Teton last night 19-8. In the second game, they hung on for a 15 to 12 win!!! Go Girls!!!

Golf has been rescheduled to Tuesday 4/19 due to weather.

Softball played out Westside yesterday and played tough in the cold weather. They ended up losing in the end 17 to 7. On Saturday, of last week, the softball team beat Soda Springs 17 to 7 as well.

Baseball at Soda Springs has been canceled for today due to weather. Our next game should be Friday (home) against Snake River.

American Falls FFA Wins 5 State Championships and multiple other awards! The chapter won the Agricultural Issues LDE, Floriculture CDE, English Creed LDE, Spanish Creed LDE, and Employment Skills LDE. Only one winner from the state level is qualified for the national event in October. All 5 teams and individuals will represent the chapter. Delfina Murillo won her proficiency award area for her SAE project and will move on to nationals as well, and the chapter placed 2nd in the National Chapter Program and will represent Idaho too. The Parliamentary Procedure team placed 2nd, a feat that has never been achieved in chapter history. Follow American Falls FFA on Facebook and Instagram for more details about these events!

Track & Field competed at Murtaugh yesterday and several great times and distances. Next week we are at Soda Springs.




Members of the SOTF Jazz Big Band from AFHS and WTMS working hard this morning before school to get ready for the their May Performances. Even the sun popped it's head in to listen towards the end of rehearsal today.



Due to weather conditions our Varsity Softball and Baseball games at Teton today will be cancelled.
