Softball played South Fremont and lost 18 to 1.
Track competed for the first time today and came away with four of the top marks statewide in 3A. Jordyn Kearn top discus thrower and #3 shot putter, Adrian Vega #2 shot putter, and Leila Jackson #2 Triple Jump.
Tomorrow, April 5th, we will have a NORMAL class schedule without TA. THURSDAY, April 6th, we will have ISAT testing for juniors to make up for today's snow day. JUNIORS- please be at school with your chromebook charged at 8:00 a.m. All other grades, you have a late start (see attached schedule). Thanks! Drive safely!

Today was the Idaho State University Senior Signing Day! $502,000 in scholarships were given out to our amazing seniors! A HUGE shout out to our AFHS students for their accomplishments! We are hopeful for their futures. An ISU education fair took place in the gym, where students were able to learn about different opportunities and options at the university. The ISU Bengals also treated all AFHS students to a pizza lunch! WE LOVE ISU!
The American Falls High School Business Professionals of America Club competed at their state competition this past week in Boise at the Boise Center Downtown and represented well.
Fernando Montelongo was a finalist in Advanced Interview Skills, earning a top 5 finish.
Fernando Montelongo and Hannely Cardona Hernandez were finalists in Presentation Management Team and also placed in the top 5.
Our freshman Administration Support Team which included Myah Sincevich, Caetlyn Warren, and Kimber Palazzo competed in their event and also participated in the Leadership Academy that helped them gain knowledge to improved their leadership and competition skills. Ashley Christy also participated in the Leadership Academy and took multiple workshops to help increase her business and leadership skills.

Boys finish 4th and girls finish 8th at the state wrestling tournament. Grayson Williams, Kolter Burton, and Nate Gugelman all took 1st place, Courtney Hunt and Mason Aiken took 2nd, Fabian Avalos, Rafael Avalos took 3rd, Jordyn Kearn took 4th, Allister Dillow and Jon Todd took 5th.
After day two of the state wrestling tournament we are in 4th place. We have 5 wrestlers in the championship match tomorrow Nate Gugelman, Kolter Burton, Mason Aiken, Grayson Williams and Courtney Hunt. We also have Jonathan Todd, Fabian Avalos, Rafael Avalos, Allister Dillow and Jordyn Kearn still alive on the backside of the bracket.
Day one of the state wrestling tournament comes to close. We have 4 boys and 2 girls who are in the semifinals. All 20 wrestlers start up again tomorrow morning at 9:00.
