Our AFHS FFA always organizes an awesome 2nd grade Safety Fair. A HUGE shout out of appreciation to all of the volunteers who helped make today possible! Especially our second graders!

The Power County Family Clinic (next to Rockland Pharmacy) will offer FREE sports physicals again this summer July 22-26 for athletes for the 2024-2025 season. Physicals are by appointment- call 226-1057. Students that miss this opportunity can still schedule a physical anytime of the year for a $25 cost OR we can bill their insurance provider. Student athletes in grades 7, 9, & 11 are required to have a physical to participate in
athletics. Forms are available at the Clinic or AFHS and IHSAA websites!
Derek Leslie Memorial Basketball Game will be held on Tuesday, May 21st at 7:00 pm in the High School Gym. Come and support this great cause. Our senior track athlete, Jordyn Kearn, will be awarded a scholarship from the donations received at the door. Come and see the seniors take on the AFHS staff and Alumni. Admission: $3 minimum donation. We will be honoring Track Seniors, Three-sport athletes, 'Golden A' recipients will be honored, and College Scholarship Athletes will be signing at Halftime.

Huge day for AFHS Track today! Jose Torres PRd and broke the school record today in the 200 (22.11)! Jordyn Kearn PRd in the shot with 44’7”. Shayla Hall got 5th and Esme Cano got 6th in shot. Austin Adair PRd in the 400 (53.5) and is going into finals in 1st place, and Zak Grigg made finals in the 400 as well. Brianna Morales, Brisa Morales and Adley Selga all made it into finals in the 200. Jose Torres, Adrian Carvajal and Jakub Sammons made finals in the 100 and all 3 PRd. Brianna Morales made finals in 400 with a PR of 1:06. Aaron Vega and Gavin Neibaur PRd in shot. Stay tuned for Day 2... Run fast AF!!!
AFHS Golf Districts Results- Both Boys and Girls teams took 3rd place. Jimmy Kendall took 3rd for the boys as an individual and qualified to play in the the State Tournament! Jacy Wagstaff took 4th individually for the girls! These kiddos played through some horrible weather this year, especially during Districts! Stay tuned for more AFHS sports reports.
