English 4 participated in a mock trial this week, putting the characters from our novel, Of Mice and Men, on trial for their crimes. Teams worked together to create attorney statements and questions, as well as witness statements, using evidence from the novel, then presented their arguments to the "jury", who decided if the defendant was guilty or innocent. We had a lot of fun with this one! 👩⚖️👨⚖️

The FFA Floriculture CDE team traveled to Boise this weekend to participate in the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society's Annual Dahlia Show. They volunteered as student helpers and learned to classify dahlias based on flower morphology and color shades. They also got to design a floating Idaho entrance piece and were then asked by multiple participants to help them design their arrangements. Lastly, they brought designs to each enter. The team is preparing for the National FFA event coming up in October; team members include Anna Hernandez, Echo Porath, Alyssa Hernandez, and Leslie Hernandez (not pictured).
A special thank you to the Southwest Idaho Dahlia Society for having these FFA members participate and help with the show!
