Grit, hustle, and heart from start to finish — the kind of effort that shows exactly who they are. The scoreboard didn’t swing our way, but the fight was undeniable. “You can’t be afraid of what comes next. That’s how you grow.” — Taylor Swift

The American Falls High School dance team, the Highlights, have been hard at work this season. The team held four days of choreography camps this summer. They brought choreographers in from out of town to help create each of their routines for the year. They would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Power of Pride and each and every one of the individuals and businesses that donate towards Power of Pride. Your support helped fund these camps for the dance team. This experience has been so beneficial to these student athletes. When we can decrease the financial burden that these participants have, it increases the number of students who can join. The more involvement we can have, the better our odds are at competition. Also bringing in qualified and knowledgeable choreographers helps us find more success at competition. The Highlights are coached by Erin Kress and assistant Abby Miner. Coach Kress said, “Without Power of Prides generosity, we would not be able to hold these camps. We truly appreciate this donation.” The Highlights have 27 members for the 2026-2027 season.

Reminder AFHS STUDENTS:

This project is a great example of hands-on CTE learning in action. Students are gaining real-world experience with production, teamwork, customer service, quality control, organization, and meeting a deadline, all while creating something our school community can enjoy. Plus, collaborating with other clubs such as Student Council. Shoutout to StuCo!!
