Over 70 8th grade students and their teachers braved the 30-40° weather and rainy fog today while exploring Craters of the Moon. They explored Indian Tunnel and Dewdrop Cave- 2 lava tubes, hiked up both the Inferno and Spatter Cone volcanoes, walked around Snow Cone, and hiked around part of the rim of the big crater. It was quite the day exploring the beauty of Idaho and learning more about the history and geology that shaped the land around our area.

Today, 44 8th grade girls joined over 500 middle school girls from around the state to take part in TechGirlz, an event put on to inspire girls to pursue careers in STEM fields. They spent the day on the College of Idaho campus attending a variety of sessions on anything from designing suspension bridges to biomechanics to yoga and sound bath and more. They even got another "taste" of college life by eating lunch in the dining hall. Thank you to Ms. Clark, Mrs. Leischer and Ms. Jenn for taking these students to such an inspiring event!
