Bravo parents! You all have been so safe, cooperative and patient in our drop-off and pick-up areas! We think everyone understands to keep the drop-off lane moving along in the morning and parking across the street or up the hill if you want to walk with your child. Our signage will be slowly removed and we hope everyone will help keep things running smoothly. WE CAN DO IT! It’s so much appreciated!!

Hillcrest is getting ready to see all our amazing student. On Wednesday, August 18th we will have our Annual Open House.
Times are 8:30 am - 11:30 am and 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Kindergarten parents will have a short meeting at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm. you don't need to be at both, just the one more convenient for you. Parents bring your students, they don't stay for the day. Just to meet their teacher and see their classroom.
There is a regular day of school on Thursday the 19th and
No school Friday.

AF Schools will be offering the FIRED UP Fridays Program starting September 17th for students in grades K-5. Students will participate in academic intervention programs in the morning and enrichment activities in the afternoon. Applications are available in the JRSE and Hillcrest school offices. There is no charge for the program.

Nutritious School Meals Are Now Free for All Students.
Parents, let your school help with meal prep! You can save time and stretch your household budget by participating in school meal programs. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending free meals to all students through June 2022, regardless of household income. This means your child can get free school breakfast and lunch each day. Participating helps both families and our school. More participation means more kids eating nutritious foods and more funding for our school’s nutrition program.
Free and Reduced Applications will not need to be completed for the 2021-2022 school year. All students will eat for Free.

HILLCREST ELEMENTARY REGISTRATION
Registration for new students entering Hillcrest Elementary School, American Falls, grades K-2 will be conducted Monday, August 9th through Wednesday, August 11th during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Parents need to bring a birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. If students completed the 2020-2021 school year at Hillcrest they do not need to register. If kindergarten students need to complete their registration with birth certificates, updated immunizations and proof of address, please come in these days also.
Hillcrest will be holding an open house “meet and greet” for your child’s teacher on Wednesday, August 18th. Letters will be mailed to parents after August 6th detailing the day schedule and each student's teacher. If you have any questions, please call the school office at 226-2391 beginning Monday, August 9th.
Free Swimming at Indian Springs with Busing Provided. Students in grades K-12 only. Must ride the bus to participate.

Our school schedule has been changed by the district. As of November 16th 2020, we will attend school full days Mondays thru Thursdays. This includes a FULL day on Wednesdays. On Fridays, students will NOT be coming into school.
