Please help us keep classrooms focused on learning by having your child leave toys and personal items such as fidgets, NeeDoh toys, artificial nails, nail glue, and Pokémon cards at home.
We understand these items are special to students. However, they can become distractions during class, and missing items or concerns about theft can interrupt learning. We will provide sensory/fidget strips on students’ desks and continue to support individual needs, including accommodations outlined in 504 plans and IEPs.
Toys brought to school will be sent to the office for a parent or guardian to pick up. Any items earned through PBIS or purchased from our school store should go directly into backpacks to be enjoyed at home.

Watch D.O.G.S Pizza and Math Night will be held September 30 from 5:30-630. Watch D.O.G.S are dads or male figures who step up to come to school with their child to be an extra set of eyes and ears for our school.

School Picture Day & Liberty Bell Walk

Students are reminded that School Picture Day will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
Students should bring comfortable walking shoes, as the class will have the privilege of walking to the local Courthouse to see the Idaho Liberty Bell Replica.

The Idaho Liberty Bell Replica is a reproduction of the famous Liberty Bell that represents the ideals of freedom, liberty, and equality, It gives our community an opportunity to learn about an important symbol of American history and reflect on the meaning of liberty and what it means to us today.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Open House for JR Simplot Elementary will be this Friday from 1-3. Come meet your child's teacher!! The first day of school for JRSE is August 24.
Attached you will see the pick up and drop off guidelines for our school. We ask that if you are going to walk in with your child the first day of school, to please use the parking lot. Please do not park in the fire zones or the drop off areas. Safety is our number one priority! We can't wait to see you all!
Registration for 4th and 5th grade tackle football is open! Coaches are also needed. Practices start August 10th. If your child is interested or you are someone who would like to coach, please contact Adam Teichert 208-220-8588.
Fourth Grade Parents, We are excited to host our Rendezvous event tomorrow for our fourth-grade students! What is a Rendezvous? During the Oregon Trail era, a Rendezvous was a gathering where fur trappers and traders exchanged goods, shared stories, and celebrated community. We're excited for your student to join in the fun! Students will also participate in a Foofaraw, where they can bring an item from home to trade. This item can be something they no longer need—encouraging creativity and community spirit. Important Details: • Date: Tomorrow Morning • What to Bring: One item from home to trade (not a purchased item).
