American Falls High School recently hosted its annual College and Career Day, providing students with valuable opportunities to explore future pathways in education and the workforce.
The day began with a college and career fair featuring more than 50 community partners. Representatives from local businesses, trade programs, and colleges shared insights, answered questions, and helped students learn about a wide range of opportunities.

Juniors and seniors spent the morning completing important assessments, with juniors taking the ISAT and seniors participating in the Workforce Readiness Assessment.
While testing was underway, freshmen and sophomores participated in hands-on life skills sessions led by community presenters. Students selected three sessions to attend, gaining practical knowledge to prepare them for life beyond high school. Presenters included:

The afternoon featured a special presentation from TEDx speaker Tanner Clark, who delivered an inspiring message about making strong choices and being present. He encouraged students to take control of their lives by using what he calls “One Second of Strength” to step away from distractions that can negatively impact their well-being.
The day concluded with a celebration of nearly 40 students at ISU Academic Signing Day, where students earned scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $7,000 per year.
The event provided meaningful exposure to career options and real-world skills, helping students at every grade level take important steps toward their futures. American Falls High School extends its gratitude to the many community partners and presenters who made the day a success.
