Back to School Assembly

The 2021-2022 school year officially began with students in session Thursday.  The halls were filled with laughter and yells of excitement as friends greeted one another after three months apart.

Students were welcomed to another remodel in their school. This year it was the classrooms that received the overhaul.  With floors matching the hallways and library, brand new slate colored counter tops, sinks, and a fresh coat of paint, each classroom has a brand new look and feel.  This remodel has been well received by every one who has been into the school. It has given the school a new sense of energy and spark that can be felt everywhere you turn.

Teachers spent endless hours unpacking boxes and reorganizing their rooms, hanging decorations and planning their start of the year lessons and activities over the past week or more without complaint and with smiles on their faces.

An assembly was held to welcome everyone back.  We have a new saying at our school this year. WTMS: One School, One Family. You could feel the sense of family and closeness in the gym as everyone sat anxiously awaiting the words of our fearless leader, Mr. Shafer.

This year we welcome some new faces to our teaching staff.  Chandler Lawrence is our new Interventions teacher, Nicole Latsch is the new 7th grade Science teacher, and Sara Cysewski has moved into the 6th grade reading position.  More to come on our new teachers at a later time.

We are looking forward to a great school year!
