Hillcrest Elementary

Last Friday, May 6th was the last Fired Up Friday of this school year. For about the last 6 weeks the FUF students have been "traveling"✈️✈️ around the world learning about different countries. They even had their own passports to take around with them and receive stamps from the different countries. Friday was our world🌍🌎🌏 celebration!! Students learned dances from; Germany, Spain, Madagascar, and India. Then students went to the gym and learned how to tug 'o war from Scotland, gondola paddling from Italy, mummy wrapping from Egypt, and run with the bulls from Spain. Finally students got to sample food from most of the countries we visited. Most of their favorites was vanilla ice cream from Madagascar and the male syrup from Canada. The students also got to try their hand at building a pyramid that would withstand a windstorm and earthquake. Thank you so much for sharing your students with us. I hope they had a blast traveling around the world!! See you next year!!
