Veterans day at Fired Up Friday

Last Friday we had the honor of having a couple of local Veterans come and talk to students about their time in the military and why veterans day is so important. Most years it is just a short question and answer assembly per grade level. This year students got to spend 40 minutes per group with our veterans, asking questions, seeing; pictures, videos, different uniforms, challenge coins, combat boots, awards and medals. Finally, the veterans ran the students through a short obstacle course and taught students how to salute. The students were wonderful and respectful and parents should be proud. Thank you to our veterans that came to visit, Bo Hohenfield and Jeb Hoag, and thank you to all that served.
